Three steps — and you're done
- CleansingFresh gloves — in front of you, fresh paste — only for you. The specialist clears the skin of any traces of makeup and cream so the paste reaches the hair down to the root.
- PasteOn small zones the specialist spreads the paste with the fingers and takes the hair out in the direction of growth, root and all — so it doesn't break. The paste is at room temperature, so it doesn't burn the thin skin of the face.
- FinishingThe paste is only sugar, water and lemon — what's left wipes off with plain water. Finally a soothing product goes on the skin — and it's already smooth.
Before your visit
Come with clean skin
- Come without makeup or cream on the day of your visit — from clean skin the paste takes the hair fully, root and all.
- Don't shave for 10–14 days, and don't use tweezers either — the paste needs 0.3–0.5 cm to hold the hair.
- Have a big day coming? Book for the day before — the skin settles and you can put on makeup in peace.
- It's fine during pregnancy too; if in doubt, ask your doctor first.
After the procedure
A few hours — without makeup
- Light redness is normal and fades in 15–20 minutes.
- Don't put on makeup for a few hours, not even foundation — let the freshly cleared skin rest.
- Sauna, tanning bed and intense workouts — from tomorrow; today the skin needs calm.
- After 2–3 days start with the gentlest scrub you have — that way new hair comes through easily and doesn't grow in.
Result
Every time — finer hair
After shaving, stubble stays and can be felt by hand — after sugaring that doesn't happen. Sugar paste takes the hair out by the root, and the new hair grows back finer and softer; the skin stays smooth for 3–4 weeks.
Sometimes a few coarser hairs appear on the chin or neck — it happens to many women. Sugaring takes those out by the root too, and with regular visits they get finer and sparser. Why they appear is a question for a doctor; our job is smooth skin.
Does it work on light or gray hair?
Yes — exactly as on dark hair. Sugar paste takes the hair from the root, and color makes no difference; a laser, on the other hand, can't see light or gray hair.
When should I come next?
Usually in 3–4 weeks — as soon as the hair reaches 0.3–0.5 cm again. Don't shave in between: that way the hair grows evenly and every next visit is easier.
Does face sugaring hurt?
The skin on the face is thin, but the zones are small — the most sensitive is the upper lip, and even that is over in a few minutes. On every next visit the hair is finer and the feeling lighter.
Won't the hair grow back coarser?
The opposite. A razor cuts the hair at the surface, which is why stubble stays; the paste removes the hair root and all, and the new hair grows back finer and softer.
Can I come with makeup on?
Better without makeup or cream — on clean skin the paste takes the hair fully. After the procedure, stay makeup-free for a few more hours.
