Why sugaring

Safe for teenagers too

Hair removal often starts in the teenage years — and it's good when it starts with sugar paste instead of a razor. Here's why:

The paste is only sugar, water and lemon — nothing else.
It's at room temperature, so it can't burn the skin.
It takes the hair by the root, in the direction it grows — the hair doesn't break and is less likely to grow in.
Everything is single-use: the paste, the gloves, even the sheet you lie on. The specialist puts the gloves on in front of you.

First visit

The first time — calmly, step by step

There's nothing to be nervous about — the specialist explains everything beforehand, and you set the pace. Here's what to expect:

Before the visit: put the razor away 10–14 days ahead so the hair is 0.3–0.5 cm long. On the day, keep the skin clean — no cream, no oil.
The zone: start small — underarms or upper lip — a small zone is over quickly.
During: the specialist applies the paste by hand and lifts it off along with the hair. The first time it pinches a little, but you get used to it fast — by the second or third pull you already know what to expect. Need a break? Just say so.
After: the skin is a little pink for a while — back to normal in 15–20 minutes. Put off sport and sauna that day; and you won't need a razor for 3–4 weeks.

How to book your daughter and come together

Choose the zones for your daughter, but enter your own name and number — the SMS code comes to you too. Write “with mom” in the comment — and we'll know there are two of you coming.

Under 16, a parent has to be there. From 16, your daughter can come alone — though coming together is still welcome.

From what age?

There's no age limit — sugaring is safe for teenagers too. Under 16, come with a parent: the booking goes in the parent's name and phone number, and in the comment say you're coming with a parent.

Will it hurt a lot?

It's a little sensitive, most of all on the first pull. Then you get used to it; with every visit the hair grows finer and the feeling fades. If you need a break, just say so.

Can my mom stay in the room?

Of course — under 16 a parent has to be there, and having her nearby puts many at ease. From 16 — whichever you prefer.

Wouldn't a razor be simpler?

A razor cuts the hair at the skin's surface, so it's felt again soon. Sugar paste takes it by the root — the skin stays smooth for 3–4 weeks, and the new hair grows back finer and is less likely to grow in.
